Organization-wide CRM
College Success Foundation (CSF) provides a unique, integrated system of supports and services to underserved low-income students to ensure they finish high school and graduate from college career-ready.
The goal of the project is a Salesforce system that is trusted as the single source of truth for student core data, student history of participation with CSF, and significant relationships that support success in getting into college and beyond. The project also includes the centralization of CSF’s advancement and fundraising work on Salesforce.
At the start of the project, CSF had been using many data management tools for their varied work with students and partners (schools, districts, and nonprofits). Tools in use included many Excel spreadsheets, Raiser’s Edge, Education Edge, Co-Pilot, and custom SQL databases.
The philosophy of “build fast and lean” has been used throughout the project to get users into Salesforce as soon as possible. Rolling launches supported this approach. Getting users into Salesforce early has improved technology adoption and resulted in better feedback for future enhancements.
CSF now has a unified system for their work and the use of legacy database systems has largely been phased out.
