Most of the Bigger Boat team will be at Dreamforce ‘16, Salesforce’s annual conference in San Francisco.
Here are some of the places you can find us or our clients:
Identity and Single Sign-On for the Connected Nonprofit
Tuesday October 4th at 9:00am inside the Salesforce.org Lodge in the Westin St. Francis.
Christian Carter will lead a group discussion around Identity and Access Management practices. The Salesforce platform includes a number of free Identity features, including two-factor authentication, single sign-on with local servers, and integration with other cloud technology like Google Apps and Office 365. Come learn how your nonprofit can leverage these tools to build out an identity policy that works. This is one of a number of “unconference” talks at the Westin.
Girlforce@Dreamforce Coffee Sponsor
Wednesday October 5th at 8am
We are proud to be one of the sponsors of this annual Dreamforce event. Register now for the event (space is limited) or learn more about their work on the Girlforce website.
Human Services Community Meetup
Wednesday October 5th at 11am inside the Salesforce.org Lodge in the Westin St. Francis.
Brad Struss will facilitate a discussion on using Salesforce within human services organizations. Please join us to share your experiences and learn from others. This is one of many Dreamforce community meetups on range of nonprofit related topics.
Innovative Environmental and Sustainability Solutions on Salesforce
Our client, the Nature Conservancy, will be part of a panel sharing how organizations working to protect our planet and its wildlife collect meaningful data and accurately report on impact. The Nature Conservancy will be sharing its use of Salesforce to manage its conservation programs, including its BirdsReturn project which we profiled in a recent case study.
Fearless Date Formulas: Leap Years and More
Beth Breisnes will help you build confidence with date formulas and share with you how to gracefully accommodate for Leap Years. This session will also look at two common needs: an annual expiration/renewal date and a contact’s next birthday. Beth will share how to build bulletproof formulas to calculate these fearlessly.
Salesforce Magic for the Everyday Admin
Thursday October 6th at 8am and Friday October 7th at 12pm
Beth Breisnes along with Katie McFadden (Swift River Consulting) and Michael Slawnik (Interlochen Center for the Arts) will share small tricks with big impact. Tips will range from timesavers to clever ways to drive results and user adoption. Each tip will first setup the problem and then they’ll pull the rabbit out of the hat with a clever solution. The tips are geared towards beginning to intermediate admins who know their way around the setup menu.
